Presented as fiction, as a novel, the backstory might be useful in educating people about the uses and abuses of history. Let's hope so. But I fear that unless the book is presented very very well as work of pure fiction, almost a fable, like that Italian movie "Life is Beautiful", then this new book might continue to engender some controversy among historians and book critics. But let's see. If done well, the book could have a positive impact. This will be interesting.
